About the location

Embleton

Craster 3 miles; Beadnell 4 miles; Alnwick 7 miles.

The pretty village of Embleton is ideally placed for exploring one of the most attractive stretches of Northumberland's Heritage Coastline. A beautiful grassy path runs from the village to neighbouring Craster, alongside the sea and past Dunstanburgh Castle - the largest ruined castle in Northumberland. Embleton itself has four village pubs, two of which serve food, and there is an excellent range of amenities in nearby Alnwick. The gardens at nearby Howick Hall are open during the summer and are noted for their beauty, whilst Alnwick Castle and Garden are a 'must-see' when visiting the area. For the keen golfer, Dunstanburgh Links Course is about 1 mile away - just one of several excellent courses in the vicinity.

One of the best holidays we have had. Serenity was so clean, and the furniture and décor was to a high standard. A very nice place to relax.

Mr Howdle, Selby, October 2013

The best we've ever stayed in. The cottage was in very peaceful surroundings and the area is still relatively undiscovered.

Mrs Elliott, York, September 2013

Serenity is a fabulous holiday home. Very quiet but located very close to shops, 10 minutes walk to the beach, excellent children's playground a few minutes walk. Excellent location for exploring local beaches and shops and castles.

Mrs Harrison, Ashbourne, August 2013

Lovely cottage, beautiful location. Lots of thought and care had gone into the bungalow.

Mr Horton, Alton, July 2013

The peace and quietness of location in a wonderful part of the country. The scenic views and the friendliness of the people, tasting the local food and drink. So in all the whole adventure was great. Many thanks to all.

Overton, Derby, June 2013

Very modern, clean bungalow in a good position. The garden is particularly nice to sit out in the evening. Beautiful part of the country with lots of lovely walks and places to explore.

Mrs Osborn, Biggleswade, June 2013

A great place from which to explore the local area. Beautifully and comfortably furnished.

Rev Brown, Northallerton, October 2012

The location of the bungalow, quiet and the general location of Embleton. The walks were wonderful and there were plenty of café's and eating plus drinking houses. Also, great weather.

Mr Nicholson, Hope Valley, October 2012

A very comfortable cottage, within reach of facilities.

Mrs Clark, Derby, September 2012

Serenity sure had the right name, it was so peaceful, the garden a delight. It was home from home. My family call me Mrs Bouquet as I usually go round any rental and clean but I had nothing to do on arrival. Loved it.

Mrs Hickson, Bolton, September 2012
