  • "A really lovely cottage, beautiful tranquil setting, very clean and well maintained house, lovely spacious rooms and very well equipped, the two bathrooms are perfect and very handy having a downstairs toilet."

We really enjoyed going accross to the apple in accross the road, we can really recommend the food there. Bamburgh castle is a short drive away and was well worth the visit as well as fabulous beach which stretches for miles.

Thank you for this lovely review Margaret we are so glad that you enjoyed your time at the cottage. We are heading up now for the week and hoping for some sunny beach walks with friends as well as tackling some chores of course! Best wishes Fiona and John Property Owner

Garden secure but a little smaller than we had anticipated. However, worked well with our young Labrador. Location - quiet - grand for us - proximity A1 and beaches, towns/villages and Scottish border much appreciated - various good eating places within easy reach - have already rebooked!

Thank you Stephen so glad you enjoyed exploring the area and that you had a good stay at Vicarage Cottage. Looking forward to welcoming you back later this year. Best wishes Fiona and John. Property Owner

Lots of space hidden gem. Very clean, close to lots of places to visit. Dog walking on Bambargh beach became a morning favourite. The little extras make a difference e.g, fresh flowers, luxury bath sheet towels, pint of milk, home made lemon cake, genius. Would recommend this cottage stage, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, has everything you could need.

Thank you Paul we really appreciate your feedback. We are delighted that you had such a good stay, that walk on Bamburgh beach is one of our favourites and we don’t even have the excuse of dog walks! All best Fiona and John Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage and great accomodation."

.very spacious and everything you needed. Village however was not great for any amenities or walking with dogs limited. Drive to bambourgh was only 10mins which was fabulous and beach was wow... Just wished whole village was not owned by the pub, as only place to go to and service was poor in our experience. Parking by cottage but lime tree sap on car was not good, however parking in village not an issue. All in all However, fab cottage and would deff be back to area.

We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your comments. You must have caught the pub on an off day as the staff and service are generally excellent. We find having the pub and restaurant extremely handy just three minutes walk from our front door, particularly in such a tiny village! We look forward to welcoming you back in due course. • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage over Christmas week."

All the information about the cottage is provided in a folder and to our delight a large batch of homemade chocolate brownies were also left which was a really lovely gesture and they were delicious! Lots of other lovely touches were in the cottage like fresh tulips, fresh milk, fairy lights and some little Christmas decoration. It was lovely. Kitchen has everything you need and we cooked a fabulous Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. The cottage is really quite big and has lots of home comforts so if it’s a miserable day there’s games, books, jigsaws and of course the tv with Netflix so no-one can get bored! The location is very close to Seahouses and Bamburgh and despite the cold weather it was lovely to visit these places for some lovely walks and of course a visit to the local pubs/restaurants. One tip to offer: If you’re a family like us who all use electric toothbrushes - don’t forget to pack your adaptor for the toothbrush to be charged as there isn’t a 2pin socket in the cottage. We had a fabulous week and would highly recommend a stay here.

Thank you Maureen we are delighted that you had such an enjoyable Christmas, it is a cosy spot. Thank you also for the heads up re 2 pin plug. We have since replaced the missing item and hope this one doesn’t go AWOL! All best Fiona and John Property Owner
