    • “This cottage is so clean and cosy. The owners have put a lot of effort into making your stay so comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. There is a welcome pack on arrival which is a treat, and some lovely little perks such as a small wash pack in the bathroom and a dressing gown to use. The warm towel rail in the bathroom is great too. The views are fantastic and you can see bamburgh castle lit up at night and the lighthouse which is lovely. We will certainly be staying again.”

    • “The cottage was very easy to find from the travel details and booking was very easy. The house was very comfortable with everything you needed in the very well stocked kitchen. The lounge was very comfortable and the adition of a telescope in the bedroom was excellent. It is set in a very quiet area with a great view over-looking Bamburgh Castle. The garden was filled with bird feeders and many an hour was spent watching the Greater Spotted Woodpeckers feeding. Everything was excellent and would be a wonderful base for anyone who liked to watch birds in a wonderful garden.”

    • “Everything you could ever hope for from a holiday cottage!”
    • tripadvisor rating
    • “The cottage was very conveniently situated to the main route through Northumberland and yet was just off the beaten track and so peaceful. There were fantastic views over open countryside to Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Islands. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and well equipped with everything you could possibly need including bathrobes and binoculars! The front garden was as good as a bird sanctuary with numerous birds visiting the bird feeders. The back garden had a lovely view up to the woodland and had a barbecue provdided. We will be trying to book for 2010 as we just did not have time to visit all the places in Northumberland in just one week - there is so much choice - excellent beaches, amazing castles, etc. I cannot think of anything to say against the cottage in Belford - it was fabulous.”

    • “It was very handy for accessing coastal walks and also the Cheviots. It was just off the A1 but very quiet with outstanding views to Bamburgh and the coast. Sunrises, great skies and rich birdsong - an artist's dream! The cottage was very comfortable, warm, well appointed and overall excellent. There was a lot of care given by the owners so that their customers enjoy their holiday.”

    Mrs Wilson, Dundee, September 2015

    • “As returnees, it was like coming home and even the neighbours welcomed us back. The cottage was superb as ever, even though it had been well used (according to the visitors book) over the last season. Both the owners and cleaner do an excellent job maintaining a very high standard. We will be returning again.”

The cottage was so clean and cosy and the owners had included so many thoughtful welcoming touches. The facilities were excellent, the kitchen well-equipped. • “Cottage in a good location, quiet and away from the roads but with easy access to the main routes. Lovely views to the coast. Cottage comfortable and cosy.”

    Mrs Opit, Clitheroe, May 2014

    • “Fantastic base from which to visit that part of Northumberland. We liked it because of the fairly private, remote, and rural location yet close enough to roads from where we could explore. The decor, cleanliness and thought that had been given to supply us with everything we required was second to none. Brilliant cottage in a wonderful part of the world. Without a doubt we will be back and would recommend to anyone.”
