A cosy detached cottage, within the grounds of the owners’ guest house on the outskirts of Jedburgh in the beautiful Scottish Borders. Outside this Jedburgh cottage is a courtyard with a table and chairs, so you can sit out and enjoy the open outlook across the hills. This Jedburgh cottage sits within the owners’ grounds and the gardens for the guest house adjacent are a pleasant place to unwind. A short walk down the hill brings you into the pleasant Borders town of Jedburgh. Only ten miles from the English border and famed for its abbey and its substantial ruins which dominate the town, Jedburgh is also home to Mary, Queen of Scots' house and Jedburgh Castle Jail, now a museum. With Jed Water, a tributary of the Teviot, and circular walks easily accessed from your front door, there is something for everyone at this delightful Jedburgh cottage.

The historic town of Jedburgh is a small, quiet town lying 10 miles inside the Scottish Border, situated half way between Newcastle upon Tyne and Edinburgh. Set amidst the stunning countryside of the Borders, Jedburgh has much to offer visitors. There are charming shops, pubs and award-winning family run restaurants to enjoy nearby, as well as historic attractions such as the fascinating Mary Queen of Scots Visitor Centre and the imposing abbey, which towers over the town and dates back to 1138. Great fishing can be enjoyed on the Teviot, Tweed and Jed rivers and there are 21 excellent golf courses to choose from. The Borders also offer some superb walking and cycling, be it on the coast, over the breathtaking hillsides or amongst the enchanting Border forests. The towns of Melrose, Kelso and Peebles are just a short drive away and are a joy to explore at leisure.
