This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a ‘smugglers’ haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop and two pubs which serve food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket, restaurants etc as well as offering boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle & Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.

The historic market town of Alnwick, with its magnificent Norman Castle and Gardens, is just a short distance away from this cottage in Beadnell, and makes for a lovely day out. This is the perfect Beadnell cottage base for a relaxing beach holiday, romantic break or for exploring further afield on Northumberland's magnificent Heritage Coast.

Cosy and practical accommodation with a 'welcome pack' upon arrival. It was particularly dog friendly with nearby open grassed areas and easy access to the beach. The quiet neighbourhood and friendly neighbours, and the interesting harbour (when we found it!).
