Leek 3.5 miles.
The lovely Staffordshire village of Cheddleton is situated in the Staffordshire Moorlands, near to the market town of Leek. This traditional village has a handful of shops, a Post Office, food pubs and a lovely restaurant. Visit the nearby Churnet Valley Railway, originally opened in 1849 and now a lovely attraction for steam enthusiasts and families alike. Cheddleton Flint Mill is a prime example of Staffordshire's industrial past – a flint grinding watermill previously used for supplying the pottery industry further along the canal in Stoke on Trent. Nearby is the market town of Leek, surrounded by lovely Moorland countryside. The town has a charming cobbled market place and there are many examples of fine Victorian architecture - a reminder of the town’s prosperity when it was renowned as a silk manufacturing centre. Today Leek offers a wide selection of shops including vast antique emporiums, bookshops and galleries and there is good selection of restaurants and real ale pubs. Alton Towers is less than 15 minutes drive away. Throw in the mix of walks, cycle routes, rock climbing on the Roaches and the wealth of historic houses, visitors will be returning again and again!

Having such a beautiful base to return to, like a home from home. We had a warm welcome. The Apartment is in such a beautiful area, masses to see and do even in November and very friendly people wherever we went in the area.

This is a beautiful apartment in a very quiet and peaceful setting. The standard was excellent and I would be happy to recommend it to anyone. We were given a warm welcome, and the gift of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and a bottle of wine was fantastic!
