Rosehill is a small North Shropshire village 3 miles from the attractive town of Market Drayton, and stands beside both the River Tern and the Shropshire Union Canal. Nearby Market Drayton is renowned for hosting one of the liveliest weekly markets you will find, and the town centre boasts many delightful 16th and 17th century half-timbered buildings including a variety of pubs, restaurants and tea rooms. Only 11 miles away from Rosehill is Whitchurch, a delightful town internationally renowned for its clock production dating back to the 1650s, and home to many splendid buildings, from medieval, Tudor and Georgian times, all dominated by St. Alkmund's Church. Close by is Ellesmere, with its beautiful meres (lakes), a variety of National Trust mansions and gardens including Attingham, Hodnet Hall, Hawkstone Park and Tatton Park, the wonderful shops and zoo at Chester, Wroxeter Roman City, the World Heritage Site Ironbridge Gorge with its famous museums, and the lovely medieval towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow.

Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot, highchair and stairgate. Off road parking for 2 cars. Specimen carp fishing in owner's 6 acre lake, for two rods at £10 per day, by arrangement with owner. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 1.5 miles. Hotel/restaurant 5 mins walk. Fish and chip restaurant 10 mins walk. Note: The lake is fenced, but children inside the boundary fence must be supervised.

We had a lovely break at this cottage. The property had everything that we needed and was well decorated. The owner was very helpful but unobtrusive. The views across the lake were lovely and we enjoyed use of the garden and the fishing. We would definitely visit again. The general area had lots to see and do.

The lakeside location was stunning. The owner was very friendly. The cottage was extremely comfortable and the week's break was so relaxing. Plenty to do locally but also a great place to sit and relax. Even when it poured with rain the lakeside views from the lounge were stunning. Highly recommended.
