A charming, brick-built cottage adjoining the owner's Victorian farmhouse in the rural hamlet of Poolhead, just 3 miles from the attractive market town of Wem. Standing in the grounds of a 30 acre smallholding, this delightful accommodation offers two sitting rooms, one of which boasts a sunny aspect, and access to the lovely garden via French windows. The surrounding, rolling farmland provides ample opportunity for a variety of walks, whilst nearby Wem and Ellesmere with its nine lakes are both well worth a visit! Explore Whittington Castle or the wonderful towns of Shrewsbury, Church Stretton or Ludlow. A great base at any time of year!

Gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge (no ice box), use of owner's washing machine in shared utility, 2 x TVs, DVD. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for one car. Lockable bike storage. Enclosed lawned garden with patio area, garden furniture and BBQ. Sorry no pets and no smoking. We liked the rural location, it was a very good base to visit lots of National Trust/English Heritage properties and other attractions as well as being a lovely area for walking.
