The small hamlet of Cauldon is located in the heart of the Potteries and was historically the home of Cauldon Pottery Works. A mile away is Waterhouses, a large village situated on the River Hamps, on the south-western edge of the Peak District National Park and has two pubs, a couple of shops and a fish and chip shop. Just 4 miles away is the world renowned Alton Towers Theme Park. With hundreds of rides and open all year round, it is the ideal place to take the kids for a fantastic day out. Further afield are the market town of Ashbourne with its market place, eccentric street plan, narrow cobbled alleys, coaching inns and almshouses, the city of Stoke-on-Trent and the Peak District National Park. A wonderful area to visit whatever you want to do.
