From the details of how to find the property, where to park and reminders of the key code to the welcome pack (we were sad not to have a dog with us, the pooch holiday pack was amazing too!), the details of the village and local walks etc. And, I have to mention the hot water bottles ... It was excellent and enjoyed by us all. The cottage was one of the best that we have stayed in. It was clean, warm and well equipped, and felt homely. There was a much appreciated welcome basket for both us and our dog. The owner made sure that we could contact her about and problems (there weren't), without being intrusive. Youlgreave is a pretty village with 3 excellent shops and 3 pubs serving food (with take away fish and chips) all within a few minutes walking distance from Hope Cottage. Whilst the younger adults were out bouldering on nearby crags, we had fun walking alongside the river with our dog and young grandson, and he enjoyed the swings and slide etc in the village playing area. It was an excellent choice for a short holiday even in a cold and wet January.
