Location: Bradwell

Castleton 3 miles; Buxton 11 miles; Bakewell 12 miles.

Bradwell is a pretty village in the Hope Valley, in prime position in the Peak District National Park. The picturesque village of Castleton is just three miles away, home to fascinating caves. Castleton is overlooked by the crumbling Mam Tor or "Shivering Mountain" with the dramatic scenery of Winnats Pass and Edale in the Edale Valley, known as the start of the Pennine Way, nearby. Hathersage is just four miles away and has excellent cafes and an open air, heated swimming pool. Slightly further afield you can potter around the historic market town of Bakewell, or the Spa town of Buxton, renowned for its spring water and opera house. It is easy to spend a whole day at Chatsworth House, while there are plenty of historic properties nearby. Pull on your boots and enjoy the spectacular scenery, with walks for all abilities, or explore a web of cycling trails, with bike hire available on the Monsal Trail and at the Derwent/Ladybower Reservoir. Bradwell itself has shops, pubs and places to eat and makes an excellent base for enjoying this beautiful part of the country.

Previous visitors' comments about 2 East View:

The location of the property meant that the village amenities were close and easy to access.
Mr Challenger, Mansfield, December 2011

We used the cottage to meet up with friends so a great time was had by all. The cottage was just the job and gave us everything we needed. We would definitely use it again. The price was excellent for a 3 night break.
Miss Jacobs, Scunthorpe, November 2011

The cottage was in a lovely spot with good walks from the door and beautiful views from the windows. There was a lot of useful information about the locality for us to browse through. There are very good places to eat and drink nearby and the locals were very friendly and helpful.
