  • "Shame we were not greeted by the owner who we didn’t see at all throughout our stay sadly, it would have been helpful to have an information pack inside the property for where to put rubbish, how to use heating what to do with towels and bedding on leaving etc WiFi didn’t work throughout our stay, according to the gentleman on the farm ongoing problems since June annoyingly we had not been notified before our stay and this impacted us as had the need for WiFi due to needing to keep in touch with family and work, and planning day trips as also no phone signal."

We also mentioned the radiator in en-suite shower was boiling hot 24/7 and could not be turned off, we also mentioned this to the gentleman who said he had no idea maybe his wife could sort, but no one came to see us, lots of light bulbs need replacing, sheets on one bed were ripped so had to swap from a spare bed, few rusty cooking pans, one side of toaster doesn’t work, shower seal in en suite seal broken so leaks, a fan or fly nets would have been useful as so hot and too many flies when windows open. This is quite remote area and a noisy farm , which if not used to farm life some may find difficult, Out of all the cottages in many years we’ve stayed in this was sadly disappointing.

  • "This is a beautiful cottage, upon arrival my wife immediately unpacked everything into the wardrobes and told me she wants to move in permanently."

It's clearly very well maintained and looked after. There was a wonderful play area immediately outside which included swings and a slide where my 2 yr old daughter had lots of fun. Its is situated on a dairy farm so we were able to visit the barns where the cows were, they have 3 goats and 4 chickens. The owners live on the farm and were very friendly. They were able to recommend local pubs and restaurants which was great. Inside the cottage we had no mobile reception but we did get reception whilst walking around the farm. The only fault was the cottage wifi wasn't working but the owner explained that the internet provider was due to fix the issue shortly and so we were just unlucky. There's a nice seating area outside where we could enjoy breakfast rather than sitting in the indoor dining area. The lounge was very large and comfortable, the bedrooms were of a good size too. The cottage is surrounded by lots of green, hills and scenery. I would stay here again. It was a 15 minute drive from Tissington village where we attended a wedding. The entire area is filled with beauty and has a lovely and welcoming community.

  • "The cottage was fantastic."

There was lots of space for 6 adults and a toddler. The property was spotless on arrival, the facilities as described with plenty of useful equipment in the kitchen. The owners were nearby, very friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay an enjoyable one. We had free access to the working dairy farm where we were close up with the livestock. Everything from a one hour old calf to fully mature bull. Location was great with walks and cycle routes nearby.

  • "A very nicely well maintained clean, comfortable and well equipped cottage."

oodles of hot water for bathing. It's an excellent location for starting cycle rides on the Tissington, High Peak and Manifold Trails. The Wifi is a bit hit and miss and phone reception "EE" can be found outside around the steps by the play area. I suggest you take some DVD's for when the TV reception is upset by heavy cloud cover.

  • "Such a special place that we’ll always remember!"

My family of 6 (four kids aged 7 and under) stayed here for almost two months, including spending Christmas here, while we hunted for a house after relocating to England. The home is so well-equipped, with Paula even giving us a second travel cot for our nephew when he came to visit for a night. What the listing doesn’t say is that there are swings and a little playground for the kids, which they loved. And the kids also loved being farmers for a few weeks, asking lots of questions about the cows and what all the equipment does. This is a special family running a great farm, and it was a pleasure to spend two memorable months there.

Position was good close to Buxton and Bakewell. Only one little irk was the number of flies in the house, accept it’s on a farm but may be a good idea to have a fly zapper.

A very convenient location for Buxton and for cycling from nearby Parsley Hay. If Corner Croft is not available then the adjacent Bank Top is the two bed version of Corner Croft. Although WiFi is available it is a bit hit and miss, OK for collecting messages and emails and for some light browsing but don't expect to be able to stream Netflix. We will be staying again.

It was clean and welcoming. The kitchen had everything you could need. The freezer was two thirds fridge and one third freezer which worked well for us.The lounge was so relaxing with two lovely sofas and an armchair. There is a stair gate at the bottom and top of the staircase which was great as we had two children in our party. The furniture in this property was of a good quality. Every bedroom had a tv and a good arial system was in place. The WiFi catered for our needs. There was a plentiful supply of hot water and under floor heating on the ground floor and radiators upstairs. We were never cold. I would definitely recommend this property.

Our only comments would be that we felt the wash basin in the en suite was too small, a shelf in each of the bathrooms for toiletries and a hook on the back of the bathroom doors would be useful. We would definitely stay here again when we return to the area. We thoroughly enjoyed being shown around by Will, seeing the calves and learning all about the farm.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Corner Croft (4 adults + 13mth old)."

Downstairs there is a large living room with a door to the front patio, and a kitchen/dining area with large dining table and hallway access to the front patio. The kitchen has more than everything you need (even if you want to go as far as doing some baking!). With a slimline dishwasher make sure you take plenty of dishwasher tablets. We loved sitting on the front patio to eat our evening meal and we enjoyed drinks there in the late evening sun. Upstairs on the right hand side of the property is the bathroom and one double bedroom, then on the other side of the hallway, above the living room, is two doubles (1 en suite) that share an adjoining hallway which was perfect for us with a little one as we could effectively join the two rooms by leaving the doors open but the door to the main hallway closed. Equally, you could close both doors to keep the rooms separate. There are more pictures of the property on Facebook. There is also a little Salon on the farm called "The Little Magpie" which we didn't use, but I imagine you can get your nails or something done there if you wish. As the property is on a working dairy farm, our little one enjoyed watching the cows. There was also a swing and slide/climbing frame to use near the front patio. For days out we visited: -Peak wildlife park -a walk from longnor village which has a little shop, cafe and pubs -buxton -Bakewell -matlock bath and cromford mill -carsington water -tagg lane dairy for ice cream, cake, hot drinks All we're worth a visit. The Duke of York pub does takeaways and they were top notch with very generous portions. It was a very enjoyable week and much better than we imagined (made even more so by the Great British weather being Great for once!)
