Bradwell is a pretty village in the Hope Valley, in prime position in the Peak District National Park. The picturesque village of Castleton is just three miles away, home to fascinating caves. Castleton is overlooked by the crumbling Mam Tor or "Shivering Mountain" with the dramatic scenery of Winnats Pass and Edale in the Edale Valley, known as the start of the Pennine Way, nearby. Hathersage is just four miles away and has excellent cafes and an open air, heated swimming pool. Slightly further afield you can potter around the historic market town of Bakewell, or the Spa town of Buxton, renowned for its spring water and opera house. It is easy to spend a whole day at Chatsworth House, while there are plenty of historic properties nearby. Pull on your boots and enjoy the spectacular scenery, with walks for all abilities, or explore a web of cycling trails, with bike hire available on the Monsal Trail and at the Derwent/Ladybower Reservoir. Bradwell itself has shops, pubs and places to eat and makes an excellent base for enjoying this beautiful part of the country.

The Property

A delightful, stone built, end-of-terrace cottage situated in a quiet backwater of the pretty village of Bradwell, 11 miles from Buxton. The cottage is full of character and charm and retains many original features such as old oak beams and a warm and snug open fire, making this an ideal romantic retreat. Recently renovated to a high standard, this well equipped holiday home boasts high quality fittings and lovely furnishings, including a spacious main bedroom with feature fireplace. The property offers lovely views across the village and surrounding fells, as well as excellent walking from the doorstep. The many delights of the Peak National Park are close by, including the beautiful valley of Edale, which is the start of the Pennine Way, England’s first and most famous long-distance footpath, and the famous Spa town of Buxton. This is an ideal base for a relaxing holiday at any time of the year.
