Previous visitors' comments about Stoneycroft:
The upstairs living/kitchen/WC and bedroom/bathroom are excellent - fresh and modern. Little welcome pack appreciated - dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, cleaning pad. Stoneycroft is well located, about a 3 minute walk from the village centre, shops, and pubs. The Star Inn is only a minute's walk and serves fab food! Away from the main road Tideswell is centrally situated within easy reach of the whole Peak District.

The owner was very friendly and helpful, she made us feel very welcome and special. She also gave us details of some local walks which we enjoyed immensely.
Mr Mansfield, Swindon, June 2011
The location was really good with a lovely village atmosphere and incredible heritage - not over run with gift shops and cafes. A very interesting Church (Cathedral of the Peak), excellent shops for pies, meat, fresh vegetables (looked really fresh) and also a Co-op. A choice of pubs and places to eat. All within walking distance from the accommodation.
Features in the 2011 The Peak District, 'Welcome' magazine as one of the 6 villages to be used by BBC TV'. 'Tideswell School of Food is the centre of Taste Tideswell' with Sarah Beany.
Mrs Gilman, Shipley, May 2011
Really lucky with excellent weather. It was nice to be able to go for walks straight from the cottage without having to go out in the car. Shops and pubs close by and everyone in the village was very pleasant and friendly.
