A quiet farming village, it is perfect for rambling and cycling, or fishing on the beautiful reservoir nearby. The village pub can be found in the centre of Combs, where you can sit on the terrace and enjoy a meal. Chapel en le Frith, the Capital of the Peaks, is only two miles away, with its cobbled market place and historic old stocks. Just eight miles away lies the spa town of Buxton, famous not only for its therapeutic spring water, but also for its Pavillion Gardens and splendid Victorian Opera House, which boasts a variety of shows, attracting people from all over the world.
