Well stocked kitchen, everything you could possibly need. The only criticisms I could make is the dining room chairs are very low for the table and couldn’t open the upstairs windows any wider than they were set, however fans were provided to cool the air.

Thank you for your feed back ,i am sorry you did not spot the keys hanging in each window with the child lock on they can be unlocked to open the windows wider the reason we keep them locked is for guests safety , i will look into the chairs to be honest i have never sat at the table . Second time at this lovely cottage and we were not disappointed. So clean and inviting, beautiful views from the patio, and two parking spaces. Only one or two small issues, the dining room is very small for four people and the new lounge arrangement is awkward for watching the TV, however the actual lounge suite was comfortable. As with many barn conversations the creaky floor boards could wake members of your family if using the bathroom during the night, luckily this was not a problem for us. The owners should be very proud of the lovely holiday home they have created and hopefully we will visit again in the future.

The situation of the cottage was also beautiful with fantastic views. If there was just one thing that was a problem it was letting our doggie out first thing in morning to do his wee before taking him on a lovely long walk - we had to keep him on lead as he could easily jump over low wall and there was no gate at entrance to forecourt which leads straight onto road.

Very sorry the heating pipes were noisy, our boiler is fully up to date with servicing , I will check for air in radiators but we did notice someone had been playing with the heating temperature don’t know if this was yourself or someone else so this could have something to do with the pipe noise. Enter inside to the spacious kitchen with its cream units and marble-effect counter tops, look forward to preparing those delicious meals throughout the day.

From here, make your way to the lounge, a cosy set-up with comfy seatin and an electric woodburner-effect fire with a stone surround, for a characterful finish.

The neighboring dining area is a wonderful place to gather with the family, settle down and discuss those up and coming plans as the night draws in.

Upstairs, two bedrooms await, the first is designed as a lovely king-size with bedside tables, a dressing table, and an outlook which leans towards the peaceful countryside.

The pretty twin room is equally as calming, a wonderful formation centred by a chest of drawers, all with antique pine beds and wondrous carvings.

The tasteful family bathroom completes the property, arranged with a shower above the bath.

Make time to appreciate the beautiful scenery in your leisure hours, by relaxing outdoors on the patio area situated to the front of the cottage.

Or why not take a stroll around the area, or even cycle to be at one with the location in its entirety?

The nearby market town of Ashbourne with its eccentric street plan, narrow cobbled alleys and quaint coaching inns is something of a haven for antique hunters, together with many great antique stores, as well as a variety of pubs and restaurants.
