Buxton 14 miles.
The bustling former Mill town of Glossop sits in the extreme west of Derbyshire, surrounded by some of the most magnificent scenery in the Peak District. With plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants, the town is also ideally placed for making the most of the nearby Peak District National Park, or the spa town of Buxton. Close also is Hayfield, a peaceful village and popular with walkers who are attracted by its close proximity to Kinder Scout. Edale - the start of the Pennine Way - is only a few miles away and caters well for tourists with pubs, cafes and restaurants. Plenty to see and do in this lovely area.

Previous visitors' comments about Lees Hall Cottage:
Very easy place to get to and comfortable surroundings. Had one of the best weekends ever, and would recommend this place. The area was lovely, easy to get into the town centre, and beds were very comfortable.
Miss Cook, Leeds, October 2010
We loved the peaceful elevated location, the views were fantastic. There was so much space outdoors for the kids to play and the adults to relax. The facilities were great, we had everything we needed and the plunge pool was a treat on a hot day.
Mrs Burdis, Ryton, May 2010
The location was excellent - rural but close to amenities. The children loved being able to go out and climb the hills (and roll down again) without adult supervision.
