Willow Holiday Cottages

These beautifully-presented semi-detached ground floor cottages are situated next to the owners’ home in Golden Valley, three miles from the town of Alfreton in Derbyshire. These lovely cottages are ideal for couples, friends or a family with a group of up to six people wanting to explore Derbyshire and the Peak District National Park, which is within reach. They are finished to a very high and contemporary standard and have been designed from the outset to be a perfect place to holiday with your dogs. The kitchens are modern and the designer bathrooms are luxurious, whilst the sitting areas are furnished to an equally high standard. Each cottage has a secure, enclosed garden with gravelled areas and lovely decked areas where you can enjoy a spot of alfresco dining or just take in the evening air. There are also great boot room areas and dog washing areas and dog beds. The owners’ are experienced dog agility handlers and you can even try your own would-be champion on the on-site professional standard agility course. Of course you don’t need to be a dog owner to enjoy a break here. It’s a very short walk to the beautiful Codnorpark Reservoir or you could jump on a steam train at the nearby Midland Railway Centre, or even try your hand at carp fishing. There’s a good golf course nearby and plenty of attractions, inns and eateries to be found in surrounding villages, with Matlock, Bakewell and Chatsworth all within easy reach. Two superb cottages that can be enjoyed at any time of the year.
