    Pauline and Stuart have put in a lot of thought and care to provide all you need for a comfortable and lovely stay complete with welcome provision pack. We were particularly grateful to Stuart for making space in his barn to provide a dry and safe place for our motorcycle. The location of the cottage is ideal for visiting local attractions in Derbyshire. We definitely recommend it for a couple looking for a peaceful holiday in the countryside.

  • "Very friendly welcome and a comfortable place to stay to visit the National Memorial Arboretum."

    The cottage was very well equipped and spacious with lots of storage space. Situated on the edge of the village it was also very quiet. Within easy reach of Lichfield and the National Brewery Centre in Burton on Trent neither of which we had visited before.

  • "Lovely well equipped cottage located in good position for visiting local attractions in the Peak District and surrounding area."

    The owners Pauline and Stuart were the perfect hosts making us feel welcome and ensuring we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Westwing was very clean and comfortable with the use of the owners beautiful garden a bonus. The cafe at The Deer Park a short drive away served delicious meals and had a nice gift shop. There is a local top quality butcher, veg stall and bakers only a mile away. Would highly recommend Westwing for a holiday base. Thank you again for a relaxing holiday in the perfect setting.

    They put so much thought into proving everything you could possibly need to ensure a happy comfortable holiday. This was the third cottage we have rented from Sykes this year and the standard of accommodation is excellent, they are all very clean well equipped and comfortable and the owners seem to go out of their way to make their guests stay a happy one. Also I had found the staff extremely helpful when I have spoken to them as I had to about this holiday. They went the extra mile for me so Thank you. We have already started looking at next year.

    . very comfortable, clean with all the facilities required to make it feel like home away from home. The owners are lovely people who go the extra mile to make your visit special. They left us bottles of wine, chocolates biscuits, milk, freshly laid eggs, and being Halloween week, Pauline, the landlady gave us some Halloween cupcakes! We would have loved to stay longer but we could only stay 4 nights. We may have wanted to be much nearer to the Peak District, but everything else exceeded our expectations. Definitely going back.

    The cottage was immaculate and Pauline and Stuart were attentive but unobtrusive. They had thought of everything we could have asked for (and more), milk in the fridge, tea bags, coffee and even fresh eggs from their own hens! The accommodation was spotless and the garden was serene, just what we needed for our week long break. My wife put it perfectly when we were returning from one of our excursions, her comment to me was, 'it's just like coming home'. Enough said! Would we recommend their cottage, without a doubt. For us, the location was excellent for exploring NT properties, the must see National Memorial Arboretum, Dovedale & Ilam in the Peak District, Fradley junction & Barton Marina. on the Canals. Lots more places to visit on another occasion. We hope very much to return later on, because we were so happy & relaxed at Westwing.

    They met us at the gate and gave us a great welcome before showing us around the cottage. The also had provided a can of milk, 6 free range eggs(their own chickens), and a host of little treats. The cottage was ideally situated for our needs, close to the village and with easy access to Lichfield, The National Arboretum, Cannock Chase, Calke Abbey, and other places of interest. There were also walks to enjoy and room to relax in the garden and extensive grounds.

A beautifully presented, rural cottage attached to the owner's home, situated on a smallholding in a quiet location Westwing as situated in Hadley End, Yoxall.

This spacious Yoxall cottage offers a comfortable holiday base, and is a great choice for couples looking for an escape in this lovely Staffordshire location.

With charming country views from the front of this Yoxall cottage and a large patio with a pretty garden overlooking open farmland to the rear, you will also find a good-sized, well-equipped kitchen and upstairs is a wonderful en-suite bedroom, complete with the luxury of a walk-in wardrobe.

Outside this Staffordshire cottage is a very pretty garden, which is shared with the owners, where you can relax beside the pond on a warm evening and enjoy the wildlife and stunning sunsets.

The busy little village of Yoxall lies within the National Forest and sits on the banks of the River Swarbourn.

It offers a wonderful array of amenities and charming walks.

A little further afield is the National Brewery Centre in Burton on Trent, whilst the National Memorial Arboretum is six miles away and well worth a visit.

The peace and quiet of the Peak district, with its maze of footpaths and cycle routes is within easy reach as is the magnificent Cannock Chase.

Take some time to visit one of the local historic estates like Chatsworth House and the National Trust’s Shugborough Hall, Kedleston Hall or nearby Sudbury Hall and Calke Abbey is just 40 minutes away over in South Derbyshire.

The lovely market towns of Lichfield and Ashbourne are a short drive away.

Lichfield has a beautiful cathedral and you can visit Samuel Johnson’s Birthplace Museum and Erasmus Darwin’s House.

Ashbourne has interesting shops and restaurants, antique shops and grand Georgian buildings.

Yoxall is a bustling little village on the banks of the River Swarbourne in the heart of Staffordshire and within the National Forest.
