A superb Grade II listed stone built property, situated in a delightful position in the rural village of Ipstones, on the western edge of the National Park. The exceptional property has been skilfully created from the conversion of a lovely old barn to provide spacious accommodation of a very high standard. Care has been taken to retain much of the original charm and character of the property including solid old beams and exposed stone. The accommodation is ‘upside down’ to take advantage of the light and the barn's splendid natural features – the magnificent sitting room has a vaulted, beamed ceiling which is open to the eaves. A rather special base for a relaxing holiday at any time of the year.
Four bedrooms (all ground floor): 2 x double (one with four poster bed) both with ensuite shower rooms with shower, basin and WC, 2 x twin both with ensuite bathrooms with bath (shower over), basin and WC. Superb fitted kitchen. Utility room & WC. Separate dining room. Large beamed sitting room with feature woodburning stove. Extra sitting area/playroom with double sofa bed and video/TV. All of the living accommodation is on the first floor.
Full gas central heating, woodburning stove. Electric cooker, hostess trolley, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, colour TVs, videos, CD player etc. Gas, electricity and fuel for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Garden area and patio with garden furniture and BBQ. Ample off road parking. One well behaved pet welcome. Shop and pub 5 mins walk.
Previous visitors' comments about Meadow Place:
We had a fantastic break, the house was everything we expected and more. We would have re-booked again for this Christmas had it not already been booked up.
Mrs Stokes, Knottingley, December 2009
Large living spaces, great for children and adults.
Mrs Stewart, Chester, November 2009
The property is much more spacious than would be apparent from the photos, and wonderfully quirky in its layout. A complete joy for all of us to have en-suite facilities. Everywhere we went in Ipstones we were warmly welcomed and given excellent service, by young and old. We are already looking to book this property again.
Mr Weeks, Nottingham, November 2009
The barn/cottage was brilliant, much better than expected. The photo's on the internet do not do it justice. Very clean, spacious and homely. Excellent location. It fitted 10 adults easily, I can't wait to book our next visit.
