Nearly 700 lime trees line the Rivelin Valley, making it the second longest lime tree avenue in Britain! This peaceful hamlet holds a scattering of farms and dwellings together with many bridleways and footpaths to discover. Nearby, the impressive Damflask, Agden, Dale Dike and Ladybower dams make for an interesting afternoon's ramble, while the attractive village of Hathersage is also within easy reach, thought to be the inspiration for Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre and home to a selection of shops, pubs and inviting eateries. With the striking village of Edale, the start of the Pennine Way, close by, and the lively city of Sheffield within a short drive, this is an ideal location for an enjoyable holiday at any time of year.
