    • “Perfect for a romantic getaway”

    • “We take a holiday this time of year as an anniversary present to ourselves and always look for somewhere picturesque and relaxing. The Loft is undoubtedly one of the best places we have ever stayed. Everything is spotlessly clean, tidy and maintained to excellent standards. Photos do not do justice to the size of the living area and kitchen, this accomodation is very spacious. We were pleasantly surprised to find a bottle of wine upon arrival and also milk tea and coffee already provided. The location in the Peak District was also a deciding factor and we spent every day exploring the Peaks then returning to relax in the hot tub. Breakfast each morning included produce from the local farm shop just up the road which I can highly recommend, they also serve a cooked breakfast and other meals during the day. We really enjoyed our week here and would recommend The Loft to anyone looking for this kind of relaxing, romantic holiday.”

    • “The Loft was a much needed chillout break for my husband and I. The photographs do not do it justice... it is so much better! A well thought out relaxing accomadation with all you need. We did not once think 'wish we had this as everything we needed was supplied'. The owners were there if needed but left us to our own devices which was exactly what we like. Thank you and we will definately be back . Ann and James Smart”

    • “The barn conversion has been very carefully carried out and the quiet location is excellent for exploring the White Peak area of the Derbyshire Peak District. Chesterfield (and a huge Tesco Extra) are only 10 mins drive away, so the best of both worlds. At the time of writing the nearest 'Pub' (more of a restaurant really) is undergoing a major extension and was unfortunately closed. Our stay was slightly marred by a few little niggles such as the guttering on the front of the property having fallen of (or been taken down) and was piled up on the wall outside. The bath panel needs replacing and the void above the kitchen (visible from the lounge and especially the bedroom) is stacked with the usual things which you put in your loft space which detracts from the tastefull interior decor. The boiler is also up here and is somewhat noisey. Lots of lamps in spotlights needed replacing and some dimmer switches seemed to do nothing. The grill on the cooker was next to useless, so grilling anything is a very slow process and 2 matching wine glasses would have been nice. If the place wasn't so thoughtfully done, I'm sure the above points would not have been as noticable but as it's so stylish, they just took the edge off the whole experience. There is a great farm shop just up the road which is open 7 days a week.”

    • “Really enjoyed the stay, a much needed break.”

    Miss Asghar, Halifax, October 2015

    • “We were welcomed at the cottage promptly at the arranged arrival time. Once inside, the cottage was spotless and decorated wonderfully. It was very spacious for the two of us with a great patio outside the front door, we spent quite a bit of our time outside, even though it was mid October. The cottage was situated within easy driving distances of the places that we intended to visit. We would most certainly make use of this cottage again in the future, we were made to feel very welcome.”

Everything that we needed was there, the hot tub was a great thing to have that we used every day, the farm shop for local fresh produce was only a 10 minute walk away and a great pub was even less of a walk away. Our time there was a very relaxing experience and we are already looking to re book and would highly recommend to anybody.”
