The village of Tideswell stands in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Famous for its fine church dedicated to St John the Baptist, known as "The Cathedral of the Peak", the village is also noted for its well dressing and carnival wakes. There is excellent walking with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills and dales to the south and Millers Dale just outside the village. Mam Tor and Castleton are only a few miles away and the popular Spa town of Buxton is within a 15 minute drive. Tideswell has many fine country inns and excellent restaurants, a chemist, butchers, bakers and much more.

This Tideswell holiday cottage provides a well equipped kitchen, two lovely bedrooms and a cosy sitting room with an inglenook fireplace and woodburning stove, an ideal place to relax in after an invigorating walk in the surrounding countryside or a day's sightseeing in the surrounding towns and villages. Excellent walking is on offer in the area, from a challenging hike in the rugged peaks to a gentler stroll in the southern hills and dales, while the spa town of Buxton is just a short drive from your Tideswell cottage, and is well worth a visit. A fine Tideswell cottage for a holiday all year round.

The location of the cottage was great for visiting so many of the attractions in the Peak District. The village of Tideswell was also very convenient for corner shop, fish & chip shops and pubs etc. The cottage is beautifully decorated and furnished - very modern, clean and well taken care of.
