Accessed via the infamous Snake Pass, this most attractive area houses some fine 17th and 18th Century cottages. Bottoms Reservoir is in the centre of the village, providing the perfect setting for a leisurely stroll. Follow Doctor's Gate Roman road to Kinder Scout and Edale, the start of the Pennine Way, or the Snake Pass to Ladybower and Derwent Reservoirs, where the famous Dambusters Squadron practiced. The nearby bustling town of Glossop provides plentiful shops, pubs and restaurants together with a superb 18 hole golf course and is surrounded by some of the most magnificent Peak District scenery.
