Previous visitors' comments about Callow Cottage:
This was a lovely, well supplied cosy little cottage, in a peaceful location. It had everything in it we would have wanted. The wood burner was fabulous during a very cold Easter break. Lovely to come back after a busy day at Alton Towers. The owners were very helpful and their recommendation of a short walk along the river to the Royal Oak at Mayfield was spot on. Delicious roast, one of the best I've had of late.

The cottage was near enough to town for shopping but far away enough to make you feel like you were away from it all. Very quiet and peaceful. Locals were lovely and there was a great pub just a five minute walk away. Views from the front and back were beautiful. We had a great time.
Mrs Byrne, Ilford, October 2012
The cottage was just what we wanted for our break. It was cosy, comfortable and very well placed. There were open views front and back and a walk starting from the back gate. Ashbourne was in walking distance but an easy drive took us in to the Peak District. The owners were welcoming and helpful and had already lit the wood burning. We are seriously considering booking the same property for a longer stay in the summer.

Excellent location, very peaceful but conveniently close to bigger town. Pleasantly surprised by interiors, bigger and lovelier than suggested in photos. Great green views from all windows.
