The village of Tideswell stands in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Famous for its fine church dedicated to St John the Baptist, known as "The Cathedral of the Peak", the village is also noted for its well dressing and carnival wakes. There is excellent walking with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills and dales to the south and Millers Dale just outside the village. Mam Tor and Castleton are only a few miles away and the popular Spa town of Buxton is within a 15 minute drive. Tideswell has many fine country inns and excellent restaurants, a chemist, butchers, bakers and much more.

Downstairs this Tideswell cottage enjoys a multi-fuel stove and an additional gas stove, perfect for settling down in front of, perhaps with a glass of wine as you plan the activities for your Peak District cottage holiday. From the doorstep is the pretty village of Tideswell, while beyond that the whole of Derbyshire and the Peak District are just waiting to be explored, with excellent walking from a challenging hike in the rugged peaks to a gentler stroll in the southern hills and dales. The Spa town of Buxton is just a short drive from your Tideswell cottage, and is well worth a visit, while the imposing Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are nearby, along with a fantastic array of attractions to take your pick from!
