The village of Saline is located in Fife near to the north bank of the River Forth. The village is home to a local shop and a golf course and is a convenient location for visiting a wide variety of local attractions. The towns of Dunfermline, Alloa and Stirling, known as the 'Gateway to the Highlands', are close by, whilst just a short drive will bring you to the capital city of Edinburgh. The surrounding area has many wonderful attractions including Alloa Tower, Castle Campbell and Gartmorn Dam, a haven for migratory birds. For the more energetic there is walking in the Ochil Hills, off-road cycling, fishing and horse-riding. There are a wide variety of golf courses in the local area with the home of golf, St. Andrews, also within easy driving distance.
