A short drive leads you to the Celtic Trail, offering traffic free cycling with breathtaking scenery along the wonderful Welsh coastline. Close by, Pembrey Park, with its dry ski slope and vast sandy beach, is perfect for a day of fun and relaxation. Just 9 miles away the market town of Carmarthen offers a variety of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants, as well as a cinema and theatre. Visit Merlin's Hill Centre, steeped in history and shrouded in mystery, where legend has it that Merlin lies imprisoned inside the hill. With the famous Boat House of Dylan Thomas at Laugharne, the many castles and museums to explore, the wonderful sandy beaches, National Botanic Gardens, the Wetland Centre or the famous Gwili Steam Railway all within an hour’s drive, not to mention scenic walks from the door, this is a perfect base for a wonderful family holiday.

A cosy, semi detached cottage on the outskirts of the village of Pontyberem, 9 miles from Carmarthen. The amenities of the village include shops, a pub, a small supermarket and a park, while the market town of Carmarthen, with its cinema, theatre and restaurants, is an easy drive away. There are scenic walks from the door, and only a few miles away you can join the Celtic Trail, a traffic free cycle path through breathtaking scenery along the wonderful Welsh coastline. Also in the area are Merlin's Hill Centre, the National Botanic Gardens, the Gwili Steam Railway, Ffos Las racecourse in Trimsaren, a golf course and castles, museums and sandy beaches.
