Location: Golden Grove

Llandeilo 3 miles; Carmarthen 15 miles.

Golden Grove is a small scattered village in Carmarthenshire, nestling in the peaceful, unspoilt countryside of the Towy Valley. Nearby is Gelli Aur Country Park with its 20-acre deer park, a 10 acre rhododendron garden and wonderful nature trails. Dinefwr Castle and the National Botanical Gardens of Wales are only a short distance away, as is the Market town of Llandeilo with its quaint little shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants. A 15 mile journey will take you to the market town of Carmarthen - said to be the birthplace of Merlin, the legendary wizard of King Arthur - from where the only steam standard gauge railway in the South West and Wales takes you on a journey through the Gwili valley. The area is the ideal base for sporting, leisure and outdoor activities, such as fishing for salmon and seatrout, horse riding, golf, walking and cycling. Conveniently situated for visits to the West Wales coast and its resorts of Llanstephan, Laugharne, Pendine, Amroth, Saundersfoot and Tenby, means that all water sports such as sailing, windsurfing, surfing and swimming are possible.

Previous visitors' comments about Llaeth Cottage:

This cottage was perfect for us to relax and we would love to go back. Spacious bedrooms and a brilliantly equipped kitchen. Just right for the family get together we wanted. The owners were very friendly and helpful.
Mrs Barratt, Woking, October 2011

The owner was very friendly and helpful and the views from the property were amazing. We will be going back in the future.
Mr Roach, Bromsgrove, September 2011

The property is roomy and generally well equipped. It is in a good location for visiting the numerous visitor attractions and beaches in the area. The log burner was invaluable in the freezing conditions during our stay.
