  • "Carnorfa was a lovely, warm and comfortable town house."

There was a lovely tree put in for the Christmas week. A welcome pack on arrival. A small issue with the heating on arrival was dealt with very quickly in a friendly and professional manner by everyone. The location was ideal - central Newport and close to all amenities. A nice walk to the beach. Highly recommended.

  • "Lovely cottage with modern bathrooms and kitchen."

Would definitely come back. Only thing is the back door is down a flight of stone steps which isn’t mentioned in the particulars of the property and should be as some people could find it difficult otherwise lovely clean property. Would recommend to friends

  • "Carnorfa is a super house and we had a great week in Newport."

The owners have thought of everything, it is so well equipped (it even has a wine fridge!!!) and makes for a lovely home from home. The crisp white sheets and fluffy towels feel very luxurious and it was spotlessly clean when we arrived. We will definitely be back, thank you.

The owner was very friendly and helpful when I phoned with a query. We had a very pleasant break, and hope to stay again.

  • "What a great house in a fantastic location."

Newport is great with the beach nearby and walks behind the house up into the mountains. The house is large and had everything that we needed. Cracking new kitchen and two fantastic showers too. So handy being able to park outside too as a lot of the older houses in Newport don't have parking. Would certainly stay there again.

  • "Excellent accommodation in a perfect location."

Everything in Newport was within easy walking distance. Also a great base to explore. The house had everything that you could need for a self catering holiday (including a microwave :). A fabulous fully equipped kitchen and 3 bathrooms.

  • "Lovely property in ideal location for Newport and surrounding areas."

Clean, comfortable , warm and beautifully decorated. Well resourced kitchen with lovely equipment, (disappointingly no microwave, it would be worth changing the listing as we brought microwave meals). The welcome pack was a lovely touch especially the Welsh cakes. We very much enjoyed our break and would hope to return in the future. Thank you for letting your lovely house. Diolch.

So pleased you enjoyed your stay. We have an integrated microwave - the top oven is a microwave and the bottom oven is a conventional fan oven. I'm so sorry this wasn't clear and we'll label the ovens for future guests. Thank you for your feedback which is helpful. Property Owner

The location is so ideal because the beach and shops and pubs and within walking distance. The family bathroom shower was so nice. I want one like that.

  • "A great property, very centrally located to the centre of Newport and with (nearly) everything you could need."

A footstool in the living room would have been great for relaxing and although the wooden floors and stairs looked lovely you could hear every footstep even when people were walking on other floors. I would stay here again, however, I would need to carefully consider any property offered by this agency due to the check in and out times as it feels like you are only getting 6 days holiday.

Thank you for your feedback. We have provided a footstool and amended the check in and out times following a relaxation in Covid restrictions Property Owner

The welcome pack of Welsh cakes, eggs, butter and milk was a lovely surprise. This cottage has everything you need for your holiday, including a private parking space right outside. I would highly recommend a visit to Canorfa.

  • "This was an amazing house in an amazing Pembrokeshire town."

We fell in love with Newport and this wonderful house that happily accommodated five adults of differing generations and a dog, without anyone feeling short of space. Such a special place. I cannot wait to return… I only have superlatives for Carnorfen. Outstanding stay.

  • "Really well presented property, comfortable & homely."

We had all that we required for a short stay. The only things that might make us think twice about rebooking are the road noise & the limited outside space. Overall a fab stay.

  • "Carnorfa is a lovely cottage ideally located near the centre of the village with quick access to shops and pubs."

It's bit like a Tardis, looks small from the outside but very roomy inside. Basement has a bathroom with full bath and a small living room with TV. The entrance floor has the well equipped kitchen with a washing machine and separate dryer and a dishwasher. A large cooker with all the pots and pans you may need and a coffee machine. Pleasantly surprised by the welcome back - butter, bread, milk, etc. The fresh bread was fantastic! The living room had two sofas and an arm chair and a gas fire. The TV was a smart TV. Upstairs was a bathroom with a nice tub and a separate shower and two bedrooms. The top floor had sky lights with views to the sea additional seating and another shower room and a very comfortable bed. All the showers were pressure showers apart from the one in the basement which was electric. The street is a little narrow but there is enough space to park your car but remember to place the bin in the space when you go anywhere. Near by there are a few pubs - we tried them all and all had something different. Don't forget to try the cellar bar! We were there in early April and not everything is open all week at that time so make the most of going out from Thursday to Sunday. Day trip to St David's is a must along with was walk along the coastal path there. Stunning scenery awaits you!. Allow about 2 hours for the walk which is mostly flat except towards the end. Overall, Carnorfa is an ideal place to stay at and the property is modern and well looked after and equipped with the everything that is of high quality. You get what you pay for!

  • "Fabulous cottage."

Really comfortable, lovely and clean, spacious and in a great location. The main bedroom is stunning with great views and a very comfortable bed. There's a very well stocked kitchen and lovely to have welsh cakes waiting for us. The lounge was also very cosy. We've stayed in Newport 3 times now and this was by far the best accommodation.

  • "The location is spot on."

There are good pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops all within 5 mins walk. The beach at Parrog is 10/15 mins walk. the main beach can be walked to in 30 mins or driven to in 10 mins. the town has a nice feel to it and there are plenty of places within short a drive or bus journey (bus stop five mins from house) to visit. The house itself has everything you might need for a good holiday. It was clean and, generally, comfortable. the heating system is good and relatively easy to use. The beds were fine, however, in October they could do with heavier duvet's, not the summer ones provided. The lounge furnishings were adequate although not the most comfortable. Parking space a massive bonus. Happy to recommend.

  • "Beautiful cottage in lovely area."

Everything was provided for comfort and the property is really spacious. The only drawback for us is that being elderly we found the bedrooms cold and the duvets were clearly summer weight. We did follow the instructions but could not get the central heating on to take the chill of the bedrooms. Fortunately for us the weather did warm up a bit and we gradually got used to things. Otherwise the holiday was lovely
