Location: Castlemartin

Pembroke 6 miles.

The quaint little village of Castlemartin is surrounded by the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside. In the village you will see the unusual feature of an old pound where stray animals would have been secured, which is now a delightful garden used as a roundabout! The pretty town of Pembroke is 6 miles away, with an array of gift shops, tearooms, restaurants, pubs and the majestic castle to explore all year round. The famous Pembrokeshire coastal path - voted the second best coastal area in the world by National Geographic magazine in 2010 - runs directly outside the cottage. Enjoy the stunning view over the ocean from Stack Rocks or climb down the steps in the cliff face to the ancient St Govans Chapel. The nearby sandy beach, Freshwater West, is just a mile away and is a surfer's heaven all year round. With an array of children's farms, a Dinosaur Park, Oakwood Theme Park and several golf courses, working mills and craft centres dotted around the area, there is something to please all the family.

Previous visitors' comments about The Old Post Office:

The Old Post Office was a really lovely cottage; clean, tidy, full of character and it was really well equipt with everything you need. The Rayburn cooker was lovely to cook with and all in all we spent a very pleasent holiday there.
Mrs Stone, Bath, August 2011

The Old Post Office was lovely and we had a warm welcome. The situation was excellent.
Mr Erdozain, Preston, July 2011

Homely cottage, perfect location, amazing beaches, endless things to do. This was quite simply the perfect cottage holiday. As a new addition to Sykes Cottages brochure, The Old Post Office will become a 'hot ticket' in times to come.
Mr Smith, Nottingham, June 2011

We liked the closeness to the beach. The property was lovely and the owner was really helpful and there is a lovely community cafe nearby that opens at the weekend.
