  • "Great Accommodation, our party of 7 had everything it needed and more."

Small beach within a 100 yards of the property and a good base for the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and other local attractions. It was fantastic!

  • "A lovely place to stay."

Everything you need for a break in a nice part of the country. Walks and beach/estuary nearby. Not too far to travel for town and popular seaside resorts. The only downside is the network of approach roads which are quite narrow but not impossible to navigate. All in all 10 out of 10 plenty of room for every one (8 adults, 3 children in our party). Wonderful!

  • "A lovely property, ideal for the family group of 10 that we were."

60 yards from a tidal creek and a perfect crabbing spot. Very well stocked with kitchen equipment. In a deep wooded valley so indoors tends to be dark and trees limit direct sunlight in garden. No internet so can be frustrating or a relief! Would highly recommend.

  • "A wonderful family friendly holiday cottage."

Enormous - so we never felt on top of one another. Fantastic outdoor space and a beach within throwing range. The crabbing, as promised was very productive and the grandkids must have caught over fifty within a half hour. The house would really benefit from showers in the upstairs en suites, but as there were 2 showers downstairs - we didn’t struggle. It would have just been convenient. Fantastic place and some very interesting owl spotting at night.

..dust on mirrors where not been cleaned ....but apart from that the Anchorage was fantastic...no Wi-Fi though and poor phone signal and also there were 4 mouldy tea bags left in a teapot....the cleaners need to check everything....the owner was fantastic and very informative about the house and the local area..would go back

  • "The house was very comfortable, spacious and welcoming, the owner had paid real attention to detail, lots of information about the area and the house."

The gardens were so peaceful, lots of areas for the children to play and for the adults to relax in privacy. It was a great location, children enjoyed kayaking and crabbing on the creek and lovely beaches nearby. We would highly recommend it and hope to return

  • "Inside the cottage was quite dark and the lights had to be on even though the weather was sunny."

There were no 'grab rails' in any of the bathrooms including the downstairs shower. Car charging was only available via outside 13A sockets which not all worked. Fortunately I had taken both types of charge cables. Unless the car is capable of being charged via 13A sockets there is NO car charging facility and therefore very misleading in the description of the property The lounge area was quite large but there was only a small TV in the room needs a larger screen. Toilet flushes very difficult to use.

Yes the windows are small. But this is because the house was built in the National Park. With park rules the windies are the maximum size permitted according to the room floor area. The windows also under park rules had to be made of hardwood. Property Owner

  • "Lovely location so near a crabbing beach."

Fabulous grounds, a children's heaven for exploring and imaginative adventures. Loads of room for a large family with area for solitude. Plenty of equipment. Some duvets need upgrading and downstairs shower is not accessible for a wheelchair user.

  • "Cottage ideal for a large group."

Almost perfect location but visitors need to be aware that there is no reliable WiFi. Can sometimes work in one of the bedrooms or in the fort in the garden. Also The Brook Inn in St Ishmael is currently closed. None of this a problem for us. Wonderful nearby beaches and children had a great time crabbing and surfing. Everyone very friendly and helpful.

  • "The location is ideal for families and the accommodation and surrounding extensive grounds provided ideal facilities for the variety of ages within our party from our 3½-year-old grandaughter to her 83-year-old grandad."

Our grandson loved the fort and we all enjoyed crabbing from the causeway at low-tide - great old fashioned family fun!. Who needs the internet, video games or gameboys?

Getting together in the evenings in the comfortable living room . or sitting outside in the garden watching the wildlife . I wish i owned this place. If you can . Take a walk along the pembrokshire coast path which is just outside the front gate. As arnie says I'll be back.

I did send a message before our stay asking some questions about wi-fi and local pubs, but I got no reply, so not happy about that

We lost our WiFi when the mast at Angle was shut down. Service had been horrible being off about half the time. The Pembrokeshire County Council has brought in the Broadway Broadband Company who are installing a fibre optic cable system around the county. The Anchorage has obtained a grant of £7000 pounds for a connection.. Now in January 2022 the system is being installed in Dale and St Ishmaels. The cable should reach Sandy Haven later this year. The project has been delayed for a year because it was found that the existing underground cable ducts were filled with mud. John Roobol . Property Owner

Making your way to the entrance, you'll find a front suntrap with garden furniture, a peaceful spot to drink a cup of tea and read the morning paper.

This welcoming cottage is filled with quirky seaside and boating decor in nearly every room, including paintings, anchors and stories of the Victorian coastline.

Unwind in the snug open-plan living area, a room bursting with a homely family feel and country house decor, here you'll find a well-equipped kitchen, spacious family dining area, and large lounge with plenty of plush sofas, a TV and a decorative fireplace.
