The vibrant town of Loughor lies on the estuary of the River Loughor and was home to the Roman fort of Leucarum, over which the Norman Loughor Castle was built in 1099. Loughor developed around the castle and has various shops, pubs and restaurants, beautiful estuary views and a boating club for boating enthusiasts. It is a perfect holiday location with so much to offer nearby. The fantastic Gower beaches are close by as is the city of Swansea itself with great shopping, a theatre and the picturesque marina. There are many walks and the Millenium Cycle Path close by as well as numerous golf clubs including Machynys Golf and Country Club. For birdwatchers and nature lovers, the Wildlife and Wetland Centre at Llanelli is just a short drive away and with the Pembrokeshire National Park and the West Wales coastline within driving distance, Loughor is a great holiday base, all year round.

Drive through the gates and into this beautiful period Loughor cottage and you will see the owners have retained so much period character. The sandy Gower beaches, great golf courses and wonderful walks and cycle rides are practically on the doorstep.
