Cardigan 7.5 miles; New Quay 18 miles.

The village of Cenarth is located on the River Teifi, with its picturesque water falls where you can enjoy peaceful walks and sometimes catch sight of the local fishermen out on the river in their coracles. Visit the Coracle Museum, tea rooms, gift shops or pubs to complete your delightful day out. The coastal town of New Quay is close by where you can book a local boat trip to go dolphin spotting. Alternatively, visit The Wildlife Centre at Cilgerran where you may see badgers, otters, buzzards and even deer, or why not explore Cilgerran Castle? With local mills, craft centres, potteries, cheese making and much more you will be spoilt for choice in this part of Wales.

The Property

Cenarth 3 miles. This delightful detached cottage is set by a bridle path in a very quiet location, three miles from the village of Cenarth. This charming Cenarth cottage has been lovingly restored by the owners using traditional methods and retains wonderful features including original wooden stairs and floors. This Cenarth cottage has a well-equipped kitchen where the cooks in the party can conjure up tasty meals on the wonderful range, two dining areas each seating six people, and after a busy day, simply relax in the cosy sitting room in front of the warming woodburner. The four bedrooms complete the welcoming feel throughout this Cenarth cottage. The pretty garden with apple trees, a herb and vegetable garden, a large decked patio and a covered hot tub is the perfect place to unwind or play outdoor games. Cenarth offers some unusual activities including the chance to see and maybe partake in the old traditional activity of coracle fishing, then discover the history of this tradition in the museum. With nearby beaches, boat trips, castles, mills and spectacular walking and cycling routes you will be planning your next stay long before you leave this wonderful Cenarth cottage.
