Nice fluffy towels and comfortable bedroom with plenty of storage. Joan the owner is lovely and welcoming. Village is very nice and shop is within walking distance and has a good selection of groceries. Lovely big park nearby and nice walking routes through the village if your bringing your dog. Highly recommended and will definitely return

  • "The bungalow was lovely."

It suited us both very well in terms of furnishing, equipment, GARDEN (an absolute delight for us and a dog). (This next is no fault of the property) It is not evident from the information in the brochure before booking that the location is so remote. In many ways this is delightful but in terms of accessing the coast (Southwold, Dunwich and Aldeburgh) just one journey and we only made one coast visit. The location should be more accurately described.

Thank you for your feedback. It is lovely to hear you enjoyed the garden. I am sorry you found the property further from the coast than you expected but I hope you enjoyed visiting the delightful towns and villages which are closer . Property Owner

Great for walking at Knettlesham Heath about 3 miles away and a fabulous Chinese takeaway in Honnington. We would return if holidaying in the area again.

The cottage is extremely well equipped and spacious, everything we could possibly want was there. The decor is a little dated but good quality, and the comfort made up for it. It’s very peaceful and we slept well in the comfortable king size bed. The gardens are beautiful and gave a luxurious feel to the accommodation. There’s a Spar shop in short walking distance that sold most things. Around the corner is a large almost enclosed rec to exercise us and our dog. There’s a few nice places to eat out if you don’t want to cook. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again when we’re back in the area, and can highly recommend it.

The traditional furnishings harmonised with our own tastes and the spacious cottage and it's surroundings oozed peace and calm. The rear of the cottage overlooks a beautiful tree bordered garden and on our last day, the quaint arched bridge traversing their attractive pond played host to a busy kingfisher. A rare and joyous sight... unless you're a fish! To be picky, there were signs of wear and tear but none that detracted from the pleasure of our stay. Joan, our host, is a lovely lady and was very helpful and to anyone looking for a base almost equidistant from Bury, Diss and Thetford in beautiful Suffolk, we would recommend this one.

The owners were friendly and welcoming but not intrusive. However, it is not as dog friendly as claimed. The position of a gate means that the dog has to be escorted into the garden and then to expect it to be on a lead while in the garden is unfair on both dog and owner. This should be made clear in the property details. I would not hesitate to recommend Berries to non dog owners but not to anyone with a dog.

However although this property was detailed as dog friendly you are not allowed to leave the dogs unattended in the property and have to put them on the lead in the garden.
