Framlingham 5.5 miles; Halesworth 8.5 miles; Southwold 16 miles.

A scattering of cottages along the B1117 in Suffolk makes up Ubbeston Green village, which is ideally placed for visiting this well known Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the wonderful Suffolk coastline, which extends for 45 miles. The local market town of Halesworth offers impressive cultural delights, with 'The Cut', a former maltings, now a centre for the arts with theatre, film, music and exhibitions throughout the year, and Steeple End Gallery offering paintings, sculpture, ceramics and textiles. Halesworth Museum tells the earlier history of local life, or you can follow the Town Trail and discover the town’s interesting past. Halesworth has many independent shops, fine restaurants, a weekly market and a monthly farmers’ market, and also a bowling green, 18 hole golf course, and its local vineyard, 'Wissett Wines'. In addition, both the Suffolk coastal towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold are a short drive away, along with castles at Framlingham and Orford.

Mr Byng, Guildford, February 2012

The friendly welcome from the owner and the fact that everything we needed to make the cottage our home for our holiday week was there.
Mrs Dolby, Peterborough, February 2012

Kingsway had everything we needed when we were snowbound! It was extremely comfortable, an extra heater was provided in addition to the excellent central heating to get us through the 'first snow of the winter'. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed the garden in the snow!
Mrs Woolnough, Potters Bar, February 2012

A beautiful part of the country. Lovely place, thank you!
