The town has some excellent examples of Georgian and Edwardian buildings, as well as an award winning museum, the public park, the Mere (lake) and shops and restaurants. The Market operates every Friday and coincides with a local antiques and collectables auction. Speciality markets, flea markets and farmers markets are also held regularly.
