The local area is very popular with birdwatchers, walkers and cyclists. Nearby Woodbridge is a wonderful old market town, with many old buildings and boasting over one hundred specialist shops along with great places to eat and drink. Local places to visit include National Trust's Sutton Hoo, Easton Park Farm, Orford Ness Nature Reserve, Otley Hall, and Snape Maltings.

Set in Suffolk countryside close to Waldringfield, within the grounds of Thatched Farm and next to the owners’ home, is this lovely semi-detached Suffolk cottage with original exposed beams. The accommodation here is comfortable and welcoming, with a cosy sitting room with dining area, a well-equipped kitchen and a shower room on the ground floor. A flight of stairs leads to the main double bedroom, and a second flight of ladder-like steps leads to a small single bedroom, perfect for older children who want their own 'hide-away'. Outside this Suffolk cottage is a patio area and shared woodland gardens, wonderful for summer dining or an autumn stroll. In a nearby separate building you will find a well-equipped shared utility room. A really cosy and character filled little cottage, very homely and so relaxing. The photographs don't do it justice at all. Would not hesitate to stay there again or recommend it to others. The owner was very helpful and even though available at all times, left us alone unless approached by us.

We had everything needed for a short relaxing holiday and the owner was available but left us in peace to come and go as we pleased. The garden was well tended and still colourful in October. A good location for places of interest as well as dog walking.
