The rural village of Theberton in Suffolk offers a pub, village hall and church and is set close to the picturesque seaside towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh. Southwold is known for its iconic whitewashed working lighthouse, restored pier, brightly coloured beach huts and harbour. The fashionable seaside town of Aldeburgh has independent shops, tea rooms, galleries and the Moot Hall museum. At the far end of Aldeburgh beach is a sculpture called ‘The Scallop’, which is dedicated to Benjamin Britten. Outside Aldeburgh is the renowned Snape Maltings Concert Hall and Riverside Centre. Further along the coast is Thorpeness with its magical Century Meare and Peter Pan themed islands. Take a trip to the local market towns of Saxmundham and Leiston, plus the local area boasts several nature reserves ideal for walking and bird watching. Theberton is a perfect base to explore this wonderful area.
