Kingscote is a Sussex Weald village located in the Medway Valley with undulating hills, tree lined country lanes and a country train station. The historic Bluebell railway offers rides on steam trains and Thomas the Tank engine and museum. Close by, the market town of Turners Hill provides shops, pubs and restaurants and impressive views of both the North and South Downs. Within an 18 miles radius of Kingscote, there are 10 National Trust properties, one of which is Wakehurst Place, run by the Royal Botanical Gardens Kew. Weir Wood Reservoir offers sailing, coarse fishing, a Millennium walk and picnic site with spectacular views across the water. Ashdown Forest is an area of outstanding natural beauty, having national and international protection, and is also home of Winnie the Pooh. Hickstead, a world famous location for show jumping and the Derby, is within easy travelling distance. The area also offers many excellent local golf clubs.

Pleasant cheerful welcome. Readiness to listen and deal with any issues. Great location. The accommodation was warm, comfortable, light and airy. The kitchen was remarkably well equipped. The location was quiet but very convenient to major transport connections.
