Kenley is a village within the M25 making it an ideal base for discovering Central London. The village was originally part of Coulsdon Manor and was home to an airfield which was a base for the WWII Battle of Britain. Nowadays, the airfield is used solely for gliding and comprises part of Kenley Common and Foxley Wood, which has 56 hectares of rolling grassland and woodland. Kenley has a selection of local shops, pubs and restaurants and is home to Kenley mainline railway station where you can get direct trains to the South Coast or central London arriving into London Bridge or Victoria station in 45mins. Just a mile away is the town of Purley where the visitor can find an array of shops, pubs and restaurants serving everything from the truly exotic to local fare. Kenley has easy access to the M23, making Gatwick Airport and Brighton easily accessible.
