About the location

WORTHING

Shoreham-by-Sea 5 miles; Brighton and Hove 10 miles; Chichester 20 miles.

Worthing is a major coastal town in West Sussex, in a glorious location. A popular holiday spot since Victorian times, Worthing not only has the sea and lovely beaches to its name, but also spectacular countryside. With three theatres offering everything from pre-West End plays to international singing stars, theatre-goers are spoilt for choice when visiting this delightful coastal town. For those who enjoy dishes from the sea, The Fish Factory restaurant prides itself on its excellent locally caught fish dishes along with other delicious seafood, or why not choose your own from the boats as they land their daily catch? If you’re after something a little more energetic then Brooklands Pleasure Park offers entertainment for all ages, from pony rides to paddling pools, or crazy golf to bouncy castles, or how about trying your skills on the Go Kart circuit? Take a quiet stroll through the beautiful gardens, visit the Worthing Museum or take in the town’s art gallery. Worthing Pier is not just inviting to fishermen and theatre fans, but also hosts the annual "International Birdman" competition, where anyone wishing to try and fly without assistance from a motor can try their luck, with home made wings and kites offering help! For those who enjoy the more traditional type of air adventure, only 5 miles away is Shoreham Airport, which offers light aircraft pleasure trips, or just delight in watching the planes take off and land, while you partake in a spot of afternoon tea! Worthing is a wonderful place to visit at any time of year.
