Barns Green is a small village in the heart of the Sussex countryside, perfectly located for visitors who are looking to explore both East and West Sussex. The pub offers an excellent lunch and evening menu, which includes game dishes sourced from the surrounding area, homemade desserts, local beers and ciders and the pub also hosts regular music and quiz evenings. It's also the meeting place for the local vintage and classic car enthusiasts. For those who enjoy more of an outdoor experience, then make for Sumner Ponds. With over 100 acres of woodland, lakes and pasture, here you can walk or cycle the well-signposted pathways through woods and meadows, making a visit here in Bluebell season is a must, or look out for marsh Marigolds and wild Orchids as you enjoy your stroll. Follow the footpaths through the working farm with its herd of 40 cattle.
