The village of Blackwater is just 20 miles north of the ferry port at Rosslare. There is a busy village atmosphere with two shops and a selection of pubs. Less than 2 miles away is the stunning coastline of Wexford Bay, which boasts 20 miles of sandy Blue Flag beaches backed by dunes and nature trails. The southernmost stretch of beach at Curracloe has been voted “The best beach in Ireland” and was the location for the opening shots of the movie blockbuster Saving Private Ryan. The quaint heritage town of Wexford has narrow winding streets, a colourful quayside lined with historical buildings and a vibrant traditional Irish nightlife. Other ideas for days out include shopping in Waterford for exquisite crystal ornaments and unique knitwear, or a round of golf on the beautiful links at St Helen's, while all the excitement of Dublin is 80 miles away.

Situated just a short walk from Ballyconnigar Beach, a sandy beach stretching for miles, this Blackwater cottage is great for families seeking a seaside getaway. At the front of this Blackwater cottage, guests can enjoy sitting in the sun room, taking in the stunning views of the sea and the sandy beach just 100 yards away, while at the back, the enclosed garden with decked area is great for wining and dining in the late evening sun. Visit nearby Blackwater, with its shops and pubs, explore the town of Wexford, just a little further, or for a great day out, travel to Dublin and see all of the varied and exciting things it has to offer. This Blackwater cottage is ideal at any time of the year.
