The village of Touraneena is beautifully scenic, nestled quietly between the Knockmealdown, Comeragh and Monavullagh Mountains. The village has a pub and shop, which provide great Irish hospitality and produce, and is also home to a fly fishing school so why not try and land your own local delicacy? For a day trip, the Nire Valley, with its ancient Bronze Age sites and smoking waterfall, is well worth a visit, or for the more energetic, the 1200’ climb will give you panoramic views of Waterford, Tipperary, Cork and Kilkenny. A little further afield but within easy reach, the town of Dungarvan can be found; a lovely, multi-coloured old harbour town, this is a real haven for fishing, boating, wind surfing and walking enthusiasts. Nearby attractions include the Round Tower and St Declans Way at the village of Ardmore, the beautiful Mount Melleray Abbey at Cappoquin and Lismore Castle. This area offers an abundance of activities guaranteed to provide a memorable holiday.

Touraneena 0.5 miles. A brick built, detached dormer bungalow, situated on the edge of the pretty village of Touraneena, County Waterford. This Waterford cottage is full of character, from the quirky decoration with fascinating artefacts of traditional Irish life, to the half stable door in the kitchen and open fire in the cosy sitting room. This Waterford cottage is well presented, offering simple but comfortable accommodation, and enjoys excellent walking from the doorstep, fly fishing on the river in the village and a local pub offering warm Irish hospitality. A little further from this Waterford cottage, the colourful town of Dungarvan has plenty to offer, including the Waterford Museum of Treasures, the House of Waterford Crystal and plenty of bars and restaurants. After a day’s touring, why not head back to the cottage and enjoy some alfresco dining on the decking, or curl up in front of the fire on those chilly evenings?
