The pretty and ancient Wensleydale village of West Witton is situated in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, between Leyburn and Hawes. A traditional old village made up of stone built cottages and farmhouses, West Witton enjoys dramatic views of Penhill and its limestone scars, along with Bolton Castle, lush rolling countryside and the surrounding fells. The village boasts two pubs, one of which is a gourmet pub and has been awarded the Wensleydale Heifer 2006/07 AA 'England's best seafood pub' award, as well as a well stocked village shop and a pretty green. Across the valley from the village stand the imposing ruins of Castle Bolton, while Leyburn, with its wide range of amenities and weekly market, Middleham, with its Norman Castle, famous racing stables and pretty old market square surrounded by delightful shops, pubs and restaurants, and the picturesque Aysgarth Falls, are just a short drive away. A superb base for a walking holiday, for enjoying the delights of Wensleydale or for touring the Yorkshire Dales, the North York Moors or the Lake District.

A stone-built semi-detached cottage, situated in the heart of the pretty little Wensleydale village of West Witton. Built in a traditional Dales style, the property offers warm, welcoming and spacious accommodation, combining the comforts of a more modern property with some character features. The village's shop and two pubs are just 2 minutes' walk away - an ideal retreat for exploring beautiful Wensleydale at any time of the year!
Three bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin, 1 x bunk beds (2ft 6’ - suitable for children). Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Spacious open plan living area with fitted kitchen with breakfast bar, dining area and sitting area with open fire.
Oil central heating with open fire in sitting area. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, TV, video, CD player and radio. Fuel, power, coal and starter pack of logs inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels available for hire at £4.50 p.p.p.w. Cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for two cars. Small garden/sitting areas with garden furniture and BBQ. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 2 mins walk. Note: Max. 4 adults.

Very well equipped cottage. The open fire and the provision of firewood and logs were much appreciated for cosy evenings in. Nicely positioned for walks and easy access to good pubs/dining in the village itself.

Cottage nice and spacious especially with the children and dogs. Very well equipped with everything you need in the kitchen. Lovely area with so many nice places to visit within easy reach. Nice friendly village shop and pub.
