The small Wensleydale village of Bellerby is situated in idyllic open countryside between the market towns of Leyburn and Richmond. The village itself has a good 'local' pub which serves food and fine ales, and there are wonderful walks in every direction. This is an ideal location for walking and touring the many attractions of Wensleydale and Swaledale - within a fifteen minute drive are historic Richmond and Middleham, as well as the attractive market towns of Bedale and Leyburn. There are numerous fine golf courses and the area boasts many excellent restaurants and award winning pubs. Nearby attractions include Fountains Abbey, Beamish and Lightwater Valley. The nearest town, Leyburn is dominated by its large market square, which still boasts a lively Friday market. The town has much to offer with its many craft shops, galleries and tearooms. There are many lovely walks for all abilities in this beautiful area, as well as delightful villages to explore. Also within easy reach are many other attractions, notably the Constable Burton Hall Gardens with extensive parkland and woodland walks, the Forbidden Corner with its underground passages to explore, and of course the lovely Georgian town of Richmond with its fine castle ruins.

A delightful stone-built cottage adjoining the owner’s home and situated in a quiet position yet close to the centre of the pretty Wensleydale village of Bellerby. This tidy little cottage offers comfortable accommodation and has a sunny garden/patio at the back. A great base for enjoying the delights of Wensleydale and touring The Dales as a whole.
Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin (with extra fold-up bed available on request). Ground floor shower room with WC and hand basin. Fitted kitchen. Sitting/dining room with electric fire. Entrance hall.
Full central heating. Additional heating from electric fire in sitting room. Gas cooker, microwave, washing machine, fridge, freezer, colour TV, video, radio/CD player etc. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Towel hire available. Cot and high chair on request. Pretty garden with sitting area. Off street parking for two cars. One well behaved pet welcome at extra charge of £10. Sorry, no smoking. Shops 1.5 miles (Leyburn), pub 5 mins walk.

The cottage was lovely and thanks to the very good weather we were able to eat outside. The owners were so very friendly and helpful at all times. The dogs enjoyed the lovely garden and the welcome tray was a very nice touch.
