Hurst is a small, scattered hamlet situated high up in the breathtaking moorland that leads over to Swaledale and Arkengarthdale. Nearby is the popular village of Reeth and the historic market town of Richmond. This is the heart of Dales farming country, and by the time you return home, the famous Swaledale sheep will be a familiar sight! Reeth is dominated by its large village green, and has a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants.

It was a lovely welcoming house, a real cosy home from home. The lady who owns it is so friendly and accommodating. The aga and real fire made it really special, cooking on it was such a treat for me as I am keen cook. we loved the peace and tranquility and the children loved the play room and playing hide and seek in the big house. We will be back!!!

Excellent remote setting with no distractions from the beautiful location. The owners were incredibly welcoming. It was wonderful that the fire was laid on for our arrival. The bedrooms were roomy with wonderful window seats with views over the moors from all rooms. Excellent kitchen equipment, and lovely dining room with a library. A lovely relaxing, non-fussy home. We would love to visit again!
