The charming small, rural village of Crakehall consists of two parts - Little Crakehall and Great Crakehall. Crakehall is set around a large central green with a delightful local pub, set just a couple of miles from Bedale. The small market town of Bedale is steeped in history, some of which can be found in the local museum. The town also offers a weekly market, interesting churches, various craft and antique shops, cafes, and pubs, which provide local beers and home cooked food. There are many lovely walks for all abilities in this beautiful area, as well as delightful villages to explore. Also within easy reach are many other attractions, including the Constable Burton Hall Gardens with extensive parkland and woodland walks, the Forbidden Corner with its underground passages to explore, the lovely Georgian town of Richmond with its fine castle ruins and the Wensleydale railway line, an authentic heritage railway.

Oil central heating. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, TV with Freeview, DVD, radio/iPod dock, library of books, DVDs and games. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot available on request. Lawned garden and patio with furniture and BBQ. Off road parking for 4 cars. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 8 mins walk. Note: There is a tourist railway line approx. 300 yards from the cottage that operates during weekdays and off-peak times at weekends, some noise is audible when trains pass.
