Location: Oxenhope

Haworth 2 miles; Skipton 14 miles.

The small village of Oxenhope lies amid wonderful scenery, and offers the chance to take advantage of the multitude of walks in the area. The village, with its shops, churches and pubs, is home to the terminus for the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film ‘The Railway Children’, which runs on a regular basis to Haworth and on down to Keighley. The area was made famous by the Bronte sisters, and the outstanding countryside was famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. The area abounds with popular places to visit; the cobbled streets of Haworth, the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the Museum of Rail. The market town of Skipton, Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds.

Previous visitors' comments about Olde Mill Cottage:

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The owners gave us a wonderful friendly Yorkshire welcome and were most helpful and courteous, but not intrusive in any way. We will definitely recommend this cottage to our family and friends.
Mr & Mrs Martin, Warrington, September 2009

The cottage was immaculate. We had a guided tour by the owner with afternoon tea on arrival & lovely toiletries provided. A superb cottage.
Mrs Cork, Southampton, May 2009

My wife and I would not hesitate in recommending this cottage for a stay. The welcome given by the owners were beyond compare and it would be hard to find anything as comfortable and friendly. The cream tea and strawberries were particularly welcome after a long journey.
Mr Gentry, Towcester, May 2009

The scones, cream and strawberries were a very nice welcome.
Mrs Bruce, Eastleigh, October 2008
